Role overview
The ETO is a critical member of the engineering team on a Bulk carrier, responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical and electronic equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems and the ability to work independently. The ETO will also assist with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
The ETO's day-to-day duties will include performing routine maintenance and repairs on electrical and electronic equipment, monitoring and analyzing system performance, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. The ETO will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records and reports, and providing technical support to other crew members as needed. Additionally, the ETO will participate in drills and training exercises to ensure preparedness for emergency situations.

What we look for
- Relevant STCW/CoC certificate, such as an Electro-Technical Officer certificate.
- At least 2 years of experience as an ETO on a commercial vessel.
- Strong knowledge of electrical and electronic systems, including navigation and communication equipment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
