Candidate Safety

Practical safety guidance for seafarers, cadets and maritime job seekers using Marine Insight 360.

No-fee policy

Free for job seekers. Marine Insight 360 never charges seafarers, cadets, or applicants to browse jobs, create a profile, or apply for roles. Do not pay anyone claiming to represent Marine Insight 360. If someone asks for money, contact us before sending payment or documents. Email careers@marineinsight360.com before sending payment or documents.

Warning signs of a fake job

  • A recruiter asks for money before an interview or joining letter.
  • The job offer arrives without a clear company, vessel, route or contract.
  • You are rushed to send passport, CDC, CoC or certificate scans.
  • The email address does not match the employer or crewing company domain.
  • The contact refuses to confirm details in writing.

Document safety

Share a CV first whenever possible. Send identity, travel and certificate documents only when the hiring route is clear and you understand who will receive them. Remove unnecessary personal numbers from early-stage copies where possible.

How to report a concern

Use the contact form and choose a safety category, or email careers@marineinsight360.com. Include the job title, company name, link, contact details used by the recruiter and a short summary of what happened.

Important limits
