Role overview
The Chief Engineer is a key member of the engine department on our oil tanker vessels, responsible for the overall maintenance and operation of the ship's machinery. This role requires a high level of technical expertise and leadership skills. The Chief Engineer will work closely with other crew members to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the vessel.
The Chief Engineer's day-to-day duties include overseeing the maintenance and repair of the ship's engines, pumps, and other machinery, as well as managing the engine department's budget and resources. The Chief Engineer will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant safety and environmental regulations. Additionally, the Chief Engineer will provide guidance and training to junior engineers and other crew members.

What we look for
- Relevant STCW/CoC certificate as Chief Engineer
- At least 2 years of experience as Chief Engineer on oil tankers
- Strong knowledge of engine maintenance and repair
- Ability to lead and manage a team of engineers
- Valid medical certificate
