Role overview
The 4th Engineer is a key member of the engine department on a Bulk carrier, responsible for maintaining and operating the vessel's engines and associated equipment. The role requires a strong understanding of marine engineering principles and practices. The 4th Engineer will work under the supervision of the Chief Engineer to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the vessel.
The 4th Engineer's day-to-day duties will include performing routine maintenance and repairs on engines and equipment, monitoring and analyzing engine performance, and maintaining accurate records of engine operations. The 4th Engineer will also be responsible for participating in safety drills and training exercises, and for contributing to the overall safety and efficiency of the vessel. The 4th Engineer will work closely with other members of the engine department to ensure seamless operations.

What we look for
- Must hold a valid Officer of the Watch (OOW) certificate of competency.
- Must have at least 2 years of experience as a 4th Engineer on a merchant vessel.
- Must have a strong understanding of marine engineering principles and practices.
- Must be able to work effectively in a team environment.
- Must be physically fit and able to pass a medical examination.
