Role overview
We are seeking a 3rd Officer to join our crew on a General Cargo Vessel. The successful candidate will be responsible for navigation and cargo operations. This is a contract position with Crewell, offering a competitive salary and benefits package.
As a 3rd Officer, your day-to-day duties will include navigating the vessel, monitoring cargo operations, and maintaining safety equipment. You will also be responsible for keeping accurate records and reporting any issues to the senior officers. Additionally, you will participate in drills and training exercises to ensure the crew is prepared for emergency situations.

What we look for
- Must hold a valid Officer of the Watch (OOW) certificate of competency
- Must have completed all required STCW training courses
- Must have at least 12 months of experience as a junior officer on a merchant vessel
- Must have a good understanding of navigation, cargo operations, and safety procedures
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English
