Role overview
The 3rd Officer is a key member of the deck team on a Bulk carrier, responsible for ensuring the safe navigation and operation of the vessel. This role involves working closely with the Master and other officers to maintain the highest standards of safety and efficiency. The 3rd Officer will also be involved in cargo operations and deck maintenance.
The day-to-day duties of the 3rd Officer at sea include navigating the vessel, keeping watch, and performing safety inspections. The 3rd Officer will also be responsible for updating navigation charts and publications, and maintaining the vessel's safety equipment. Additionally, the 3rd Officer will assist with cargo planning and loading/unloading operations.

What we look for
- Must hold a valid Officer of the Watch (OOW) certificate of competency
- Must have completed all required STCW training courses
- Must have at least 12 months of experience as a junior officer on a merchant vessel
- Must have a good understanding of navigation, cargo operations, and safety procedures
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English
