Role overview
The 2nd Officer is a key member of the deck team on our oil/chemical tankers, responsible for safe navigation and cargo operations. This role requires a high level of professionalism and adherence to safety protocols. The 2nd Officer will work closely with the Master and other deck officers to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the vessel.
The 2nd Officer's day-to-day duties will include navigating the vessel, monitoring cargo operations, and maintaining deck equipment. They will also be responsible for performing watchkeeping duties, including monitoring the vessel's position and surroundings. Additionally, the 2nd Officer will participate in safety drills and training exercises to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

What we look for
- Must hold a valid Officer of the Watch (OOW) certificate of competency
- Must have at least 12 months of experience as a 2nd Officer on a tanker vessel
- Must have a valid tanker endorsement and advanced tanker training
- Must have a valid medical certificate and be fit for duty at sea
- Must have excellent communication and teamwork skills
